Has anyone else checked the honda eStore (www.estore.honda.com) for factory accessories. There prices seem too good to be true. I was considering OEM Hitch, Harness from other stores online, and then got an e-mail from the Honda eStore I check the price and compared it to Online pricing at a few of the usual stores I have shopped for Honda Accessories in the past and It is $127.77 more installed. The dealer quoted is less than 1 hr away and I don't have to crawl all over the place installing the wireing harness and lie on the floor of the garage holding the Hitch on my chest while trying to hand thread the bolts with the other.

the estore quote is
Honda Hitch Ball (1 7/8 or 2")
Honda wireing harness
Honda Key Locking Hitch Pin
Honda Trailer Hitch
as the "Towing Package"

@$545.00 without Installation

or

@629.00 with installation

Ordering the same parts at several of the online honda stores with shipping (and they are too far and/or don't let you pick the items up) comes to $549.98 without Installation

My Local Honda Dealer Quoted me in person $1049 Parts and Labor

The eStore Dealer quoted me on the phone a price of $1078 Parts and Labor?

What gives?

Final Price from the "best" estore price is $677.75, Tax and Installation nearly $400 less then they quote over the phone.

Also check the eStores in your area, the 5 that come up nearest my zip code vary widely in price by about $200

On the Wholesale Direct website (https://halcyon.webair.com/chesrownhonda/product_info.php/cPath/86_89/products_id/524) they quote the towing package (Which, according to their website, includes: Class III Trailer Hitch, Trailer hitch harness with both 4- and 7-pin connectors included, a key locking hitch pin, and either a 1-7/8" or a 2" hitch ball. Also Includes all attachments and hardware needed to install) at $369 + $50 shipping and handling. So, for $420 (a savings of $125 over the price you noted in your post or $210 over the install price quoted), you might want to crawl around on your garage floor for an hour or two.... :)

I've never ordered anything from them, but this is by far the cheapest tow package I have seen out on the net.

Try to purchase it and they add and additional $71.99 shipping charge. I also can't get a final price from there site to see if they are going to tack anything else on without giving a credit card. Are they going to tack on Ohio Sales tax (6% in Medina County) or California (7.75% in San Bernardino County)

If it seems too good to be true then it probally is....

They try to add another $72?!? That's BS. Like I said, I have never ordered anything from them before, so I didn't know what it was like ordering from them. I am tempted to send them an e-mail and ask them what that BS is all about. I mean, if they advertise $419 shipped...it should be $419 shipped.
