Great site. I've lurked for about a year and am now in the process of trying to buy a 2006 RTL. I received a price of $26,800 which I consider fair. But the quote to install the backup sensor was $950. It lists for about $450 so the labor is $500. This seems high to me but I understand from this site that the install is quite complicated. The dealer said the install requires around five hours of labor. Can any of you tell me what you paid for a dealer install on the backup sensor? I want to have some leverage with the dealer if necessary. Thanks.

If you have the navigation system, you should consider paying an extra $40 and installing the Honda back-up camera.
If the dealer can do the install in 5 hours, he's damn good. The amount of dismantling of parts required to install the back-up sensors/camera is phenomenal and not for the light-hearted. I suggest you stay away from the dealer during the install so as not to see your truck in pieces. LOL!
Seriously speaking, check out one of the ROC's advertiser's website (H and A Accessories) where you can buy the kit at $350 and perhaps install it yourself. The dealer's pricing is list price at $450 with install at 5 hours x $75/hr should give you a total of about $900. During negotiation, I'm sure you can swing an additional discount of $150 towards the kit. Good Luck and welcome to the ROC.
