Anyone know where the subwoofer speaker is located on the RTL? Also, is it a powered subwoofer? Whatever/wherever, it sounds great.

WhiteRTLnav 05-09-2005, 12:56 AM It is an 8" powered subwoofer, and it sits behind the middle rear seat position. It does sound awesome!!! denvrfan 05-09-2005, 11:52 AM I agree. I've had several cars with factory subwoofers. This setup has more punch and low-end response than any of my previous vehicles. MDAROSA 05-04-2007, 12:39 PM Does it have its own amplifier? DoctorJ 05-04-2007, 12:50 PM Does it have its own amplifier? It does not have an amp in the box but it is independently controllable from the HU. Niq Man 05-04-2007, 08:49 PM Anyone have any tips on removing the seat to get to the sub? I haven't tried it yet, but I will have to soon. I'm planning on upgrading my entire system and am planning on mounting my amp rack in place of the stock sub. csimo 05-04-2007, 08:57 PM Anyone have any tips on removing the seat to get to the sub? I haven't tried it yet, but I will have to soon. I'm planning on upgrading my entire system and am planning on mounting my amp rack in place of the stock sub. The rear seat removal instructions are in the following document: http://handaaccessories.com/ridgeline/backupcamera.pdf shovelhd 05-04-2007, 09:06 PM Check the install logs in the Mobile Electronics forum. There's TONS of info. MDAROSA 05-06-2007, 10:19 AM where is the wire diagram for the subwoofer? MDAROSA 05-06-2007, 10:27 AM Stupid question. Does powered subwoofer mean that you need an amp to power it up? hofffam 05-06-2007, 12:54 PM A powered subwoofer has its own amplifier. A passive subwoofer does not have its own amplifier. The Ridgeline factory subwoofer is a passive subwoofer. The factory headunit has an amplifier specifically for the subwoofer. That is a bit unusual for headunits, but not surprising for a factory unit since it simplifies manufacturing/wiring. Niq Man 05-06-2007, 09:04 PM CSIMO: Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out. | |
