Today was the first cold day here this year, and my dog is wired! Every fall, the first couple of cool days (under 60 degrees), he just bounces off the walls. He's done it every year (he's 8). Just curious if anyone else's dog does the same thing?

Our dogs and our mules do this. They get frisky with the cold. For the dogs, usually the first snowfall brings out some crazy antics that amuse us.

My mom & dad have a 115 pound Akita and when it’s a 110° outside she won’t even go near the door! But early in the morning and after sunset she turns back into a big ole puppy!

When I used to let my cats outside (they were inside/outside cats, now they are strictly inside cats) they all got frisky when it got cold. I used to love to sit on the porch on a cool morning and watch all their silly little antics! You haven't lived until you have seen cats playing leap-frog with other!

My Keeshond has been on the couch all summer, you have to drag him out. Cooling off here in Tennessee also, maybe I will get the couch back.:)
