Spray on bedliner help........

Well...........................:( I went to price my Ridge for LineX. I am sooooooooooooo disappointed. They quoted me $550-$600. WTF? Why so high? They told me they have never done a Ridge before but come on. They were nice until I got that quote. I sure did leave there in hurry. Didn't want the price to go up anymore.:p If anyone in the Pacific Northwest has any leads or help for me on getting a quality spray in liner I would appeciate.;)

I had the Rhino Liner installed here in NJ. I was their first RL to be done there and they wanted more money but I talked them down in price. I just said to them, this is your first RL I don't want to be their guinnea pig. So they charged me $380 just to get the experience and I also told them I would mention them on the forumn. It took them the whole day just to do my RL and said they can usually do 3-4 trucks in a day. They said they would never do an RL again because the amount of time that is involved and the amount they should charge due to the time. They even asked me not to recommend RLs to them or to mention them on this forum.

Honestly, I think $600 would be a fair price considering what needs to be done. They have to remove all the panels, scratch the composite material, prime it, spray it ad put the panels back on. It's more work than most truck beds.

Looks like you got a grat deal...I hate looking at the scatches in my bed...shame on honda for using such a delicate surface for a truck bed,

I won't comment on price as I don't know about the labor with our RL'S, but I can say that with my last Ford I did Line-X and it is the real deal.
That stuff is really good and should outlast anything you apply it to. Back in 2001 I paid about $400 and it was well worth it for a truck with a steel box.
Our RL'S have a composite box so I don't think it is needed. Scuffs are merely cosmetic and easily touched up.
The Line-X never showed scuffs and I beat the heck out of it.

I have been wanting to get a spray on liner for my RTL too. I went to a local guy near my house who has not sprayed one before either. He acted like he did not want to do it because of time he would have to spend to "tape" everything up. Is it possible to remove the bed surface in front of the trunk? I have had the side pannels off, tailgate looks easy enough, and the trunk lid obviously comes off with just a few bolts. I would like to take him the individual pieces. It would be much cheaper and easier on the guy doing the spraying, and I know it would be a far superior, cleaner job over all. Will the bed surface come off?

Just Had my 09 RTL sprayed at Linex in Burlington Wa 550 out the door,they did a great job..well worth the money

I had mine done for about $600CDN from Line-x here in Alberta, that seemed expensive but they had to remove all the panels and trunk lid, then put down a primer after sanding, and finally sprayed and reassembled, they needed it for a day and a half to do the job, so the price was justified. I think it is great.

Yes it will, remove and then reinstall after they are done, save the money on labor, label and ziplock the hardware according to the panels.
