SureFire flashlights

I have been looking at these for about a year. How are these lights? I use a flash light quite often but none seem to give me the light I want unless I want to carry a canon. I also would like to use it for fishing and hunting. For hunting which color is best for not spooking deer? Red, blue, green or yellow-reen?

I have a 6P and the E2E with the 60 Lumen lamp. They are expensive, but they are worth it. Plus you can get filters (Red for saving night vision, blue for tracking a blood trail) for these lights. Call Surefire, tell them what you want a light for and they will get you the correct model.

Just a side note:
I was SCUBA diving at night in a local training area and my dive light failed. I ended up using my E2E down to 20' to finish the work I was doing. No water in the light and all was great.

My Brother-in-law has one mounted to the front of his duty weapon. Standard issue for his Police force.

Re: SureFire flashlights

Flashlights are very important tools to me as a cop on the midnight shift. I own SureFire LEDs and incandescents and, other than rechargeable Mag-Lites, I won't buy anything else. They are well worth the money. The LED lights are more of a floodlight while the incandescent lights are more focused. I generally prefer the LEDs but both types have their place on my duty belt.

Re: SureFire flashlights

Standard gear for US Fighter pilots and very usefull in a "shoot down" situation, although not as usefull as a S&W 38 revolver.

Re: SureFire flashlights

I am a big fan of the Streamlight brand which is the "other" premium lights.
I carry a Scorpion in my back pack and use a rechargeable Stinger for looking for game at night. Both are super bright and top shelf products. I also use their M6 tactical light/laser combo on my AR15 for hunting piggies and varmints at night (legal in Texas).
Another great item I have come to love that are cheap are the L.E.D. cap lights. I use a green (won't spook the game) one walking into and back from my stands and a white one around camp and when cleaning game at night since it shines right where you are looking and gives you light "hands free". Best $10 bucks items that I know of. Hope Santa puts a couple more in my stocking this year.

Re: SureFire flashlights

I know nothing at all about these lights and always wanted to get a good bright, long life, dependable one for the glove, so any information, ie. price, pics, links concerning this would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Re: SureFire flashlights

Check out the Coast LL7767 V2 3 Watt Luxeon. I got one for about $82 and it is the brightest light for it's size out there.

Re: SureFire flashlights

I did the xmas party for streamlight at their factory and they gave me a TL3 as a present. I never knew a little light like that could throw so much light. Built like a tank. Also can be used as a spot light for about 150yards.

Take a look at them too.
