Woody, lost and found

On Sunday, the day that we took our road trip to Oregon, I found a black lab roaming the neighborhood. We live on a very busy street and I was afraid that he would get hit. I whistled out the window and he ran up to the gate, I went outside with Chelsea and let him in the yard. I checked his collar and he had tags. His name was Woody and there was a phone number. I called and the owner came to pick him up in less than five minutes. Woody was very well behaved, he sat and stayed when I asked him to. He had been missing all day and we had only just got home about a half an hour earlier. His home is right around the corner on the next street.

Re: Woody, lost and found

Since I moved her in July of 2000 I have found nine dogs and one goat. I found the goat loose in the park and he followed Chelsea and I back to the park head quarters. One of the nine dogs I found on the sand dunes about 3 miles south of my house and I got her to follow me home with broken biscuits that I dropped on the ground, it turned out that she had been lost for 10 days on the dunes. All the rest of the dogs just showed up in my front yard or driveway. Chelsea has become used to it. She is a very understanding dog. I have been an animal rescuer since I was 4 or 5 years old. I was always bringing something home and if I could not find the owner I would keep it, I had a small zoo most of the time and something was always just about to give birth to increase it's size.
