Last time I listened to my dog, the neighbor called the cops on me for pooping in the yard. The dog told me it was a very free experience. Especially when I tried to bury it. Nearly threw my hip out with that donkey kick action...

Jeesh...this reminds me of one of the most enjoyable heated debates I've seen in these parts. Ya see, it all started with someone posting pictures of a pair of Subaru Brat bed seats he installed in his Ridgeline...

If your up for reading a toxic debate...enjoy...

Bleh! Could only get halfway through page 2... and almost wanted to reply to half of those! Loved the link to the "ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE
1930'S, 40'S, 50'S, 60'S and 70'S!!" story! Ah... memories.......

Re: Dog got one ride in the bed - no more

First off IT'S A TRUCK who cares if the bed gets a scatch in it, and for the dogs in the back of a truck I have two kids and two dogs Im not going to put the dog in the truck and the kids in the bed. I know that some people don't agree with the dogs in the bed but those are the same people that call theie dogs their kids (not me) I don't want them to get hurt but when I go to the creek in the summer Im not going to ride home with two wet dogs in the cab.
I live in a small town about 5000 people I think that makes a difference also.

Re: Dog got one ride in the bed - no more

Who woulda thought a post about bed scratches would lead to a PETA debate! gotta love it.

just fyi - i know the bed is going to get scrathced but wasn't ready for it within an hour of driving the truck home off the lot :-)

As to safety of a dog in the back - This is Texas and it is state law that all Truck owners must have a dog in the bed ;-)

It is also a state law they must at least wear a shirt into an establishment (pants are optional), and if they wear pants the Skoal can must go in the BACK pocket. Putting it in the front pocket down low caused too many false impressions amongst Texas women and led to a few lawsuits.

Seriously, yes, the bed is going to get scratched. As mentioned, the bed panels aren't too expensive to replace. One good investment is to get a decent bed mat. A lot of members hear swear by them.

Can I be a little rude and say...
I REALLY don't get the whole "nice truck" ideal floating around now-days. WHY get a truck if you're not going to USE it?!
