What kind of dog crates do you use?

I've got two German Shepherd/Irish Wolfhound mixes (though they're only about the size of a big German - they didn't get the height of the wolfhound unfortunately!) and keep them in the bed in crates when I take them out (which is rare, since one of them likes to puke her guts out whenever she rides in the car - poor thing), but I have to strap the crates in (I don't want them flying all over the bed!) across the front of the cages, which makes it a PITA to get the dogs in and out, since I have to undo the straps every time.

What do YOU do?

Precision brand folding metal crates. They fold flat and can be stored in the bed. The dogs go in the back with the seats folded up.

Re: What kind of dog crates do you use?

Have you tryed dramamin for the puker? Our vet told us what to get though we ran out and never needed to buy anymore but she (5 month old standard poodle) use to be a water puker. When riding in the truck she would start to drool terribly then all of a sudden someone would turn on the water faucet, thankfully it was always water. We started to use a little dramamin for her when going anywhere in the truck that was going to be more than 5 minute trips because she's fine up to about 5 minutes then she starts watering at the mouth.

Anyway our crate is very typical, it's just a huge metal crate rectangular in size and was bought from either petco or petsmart for our dalmatian about 8 or 9 years ago because when we got her she refused (keyword refused) to go to the bathroom outside, we'd go our for regular walks during the day and she would refuse to relive herself, bring her back into the apartment we were living in at the time and within 10 minutes she would find somewhere to go. We bought the crate and locked her up in it when returning from our walks, and finally on the morning of the 3rd day we went out for our normal walk with her and she squatted down and went and was absolutely never a problem after that. Anyway the dalmatian is large and the crate was the correct size for a full grown (if not overly large) dalmatian. It folds up flat and has a removable pan for the floor that has lips on it so when a dog makes mess in it, it is contained to the floorpan in the crate instead of swashing around all over the place.
