US to Canada requirements

I just brought an '07 RTX into Canada from the Rochester NY area. Bit of a pain in the arse and paid more than I would have liked but still feel like I got a deal considering what they sell for here.
I suppose I will have to install the day time running light module (or what ever it's called) and alter the speedo and odometer calibration.
Anyone tell me what's involved in getting a US spec RL up to Ontario standards? How do you install the day time running light module and what does one cost?
Thanks.

Do a search for "DRL" or "Daytime". There's a few threads on here. That's the only mod you need to make.

Re: US to Canada requirements

Hey Zolton. Congrats on getting your RL. I know you were looking to find someone in the US to buy a new one, but this is the next best thing.
I had the DRL's installed at a dealer in the US for $350. I didn't feel comfortable messing around with the wiring. Took them 3 hours to do it, I'd probably still be working on it! I'm sure just about any dealer locally will do it. I know there is a DIY thread in here somewhere on how to do it.
As for the speedometer, you shouldn't have to do anything to it unless you want kilometers to show on the digital readout. The speedometer shows the miles and kilometers. You just have to make sure you know which one you're looking at when you approach a speed zone! (At least in Manitoba it was okay and I beleive the RL doesn't show up on the Canadian Imported vehicle list.

Re: US to Canada requirements

I had my foglights rigged at Canadian Tire as day time running lights, cost me about $200. I like the look with the foglights and parking lights on during the daytime, looks badass!

Zolton you went all the way down to Rochester, dam i got mine in Lockport, only about 20 minutes over the river.
