Cloth interior ARRRRGGGGHHH!!

My Ridgie is not quite 2 years old and the cloth seats are showing major wear, espec on the driver's seat. This is NOT acceptable for a Honda. I had a Passport (bought it used) and it was 10 years old when I sold it - the seats still looked great. They stain super easy - even a drop of rainwater leaves a water mark....

Don't get me wrong, I love the truck - but Honda needs to do a better job on the cloth seats. Looks like now I'm going to have to buy the custom fit seat covers...my advice - if you're buying a Ridgeline, go with the leather..

I talked to my dealership manager and he asked me to bring it in for them to look at it. I understand normal wear and tear, but this is ridiculous.

I know exactly what you're talking about! Honda desperately needs to ditch the subcontractor that supplies the Ridgeline seats & find one that uses halfway decent materials.

That's because the passport was made by Isuzu...

.... yes the Honda fabric does stains and fray's easily ... That is why I 3M'ed them.... Now they are darker then when I got them but are better protected...

Re: Cloth interior ARRRRGGGGHHH!!

My '07 RTX has the cloth interior, and when I purchased it I also got the ResistAll Appearance Protection for both the interior and exterior. I didn't do any research prior, so I don't know how it will hold up, but so far, it seems to do a pretty good job of protecting the seats. Just thought I would mention it.

And since we're talking about cloth seats.... my wife's '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee has cloth seats that are HORRID The dealer has cleaned them once, and we have paid to have them professionally cleaned by a detailing shop, and they STILL look like crap a week later. She has been driving Jeep's for 13+ years, but I think she is going to trade this one for a Pilot...

Re: Cloth interior ARRRRGGGGHHH!!

I Scotch guarded the crap out of my seats when I bought my RL. One thing I don't like is having fabric arm rests and center console, as it seems that these areas are prone to wear and stains from arm sweat.
