Re: Dear Honda: Endless Possibilities ...

I think it's a little early to start digging a grave for the Ridgeline, don't you think? This sounds like a rumor started by a jealous Chevy Colorado owner, if you ask me.

Anyway...I want you folks to think back about vehicles that started our poorly and are now a success story. Does the Toyota T100 sound familiar? Remember when that came out (in '93 I believe) and the automotive "guru's" said things like the T100 just showed that the Japanese didn't know what it took to make a "real" truck. Look what evolved from that...the Toyota Tundra. The Tundra will stand toe-to-toe with the full sized pickup trucks from the big 3...and in many cases beat them.

Fast forward to today. Honda came out with a truck and, with their first try created a pickup that continues to win awards and wows just about everybody that jumps into one and takes it for a test drive. I think a few little tweaks (whatever those may be...I would like to see more horse power, more torque, and more towig capacity) and it just gets better.

So, long story short, I don't think you can bury the RL just yet. I think it'll be around for a while yet.

Almost exactly what I was saying to myself 3 years ago (my F150 was ready to be traded in after 7 almost perfect years of service) and then I wandered into the ROC for some assurance. I never left the ROC and 40,000 miles later, my RL is still doing what it was supposed to do the day I bought it. I will not compare it favorably or unfavorably against my F150 which was a great and extremely capable vehicle for my needs, but my needs changed and so did my vehicle of choice.
