Smile 2006 Hard-Cover Tonneau

Dear Honda, is there an after-market kit that will allow you to fold the hard-cover tonneau all the way back? I own a 2006 Ridgeline, and awhile back I bought/had installed the hard-cover Tonneau. One of the reasons I bought the Ridgeline was because of the truck bed. Now that I have the tonneau installed, that truck bed feature is pretty much eliminated. To temporarily remove the cover so I can use 100% of the bed is a very complicated job, and once you get it off, you might as well just leave it off. Had I known that was going to happen, I would never have bought the cover. Poor application design? Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts or possible options to my dilemna, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx and Merry Christmas!

Do a search on here it is some post from last year that owners with OEM cover replaced bolts with pins. This would make it easier to take the cover off & replace when needed. I think the pins came from Home Depot.
I have not taken the cover off as of yet.

Re: 2006 Hard-Cover Tonneau

Welcome to the ROC... Sorry I can't help... This is one of the reasons I designed my tonneau the way I did. I can take the two halves and put them in the back seat area...

I have the OEM cover. I have replaced the bolts with spring clips. I have also added handles on the center end of the inside half. When I need to remove the cover, just pullthe pins. stand in the bed and lift with the handles. putting it back is just as easy.

Hi Keith - how about a picture of your handle placements.
