Re: Hooks for grocery bags, BADLY needed

bag hooks on the back of the seats would be great!

I could use some higher hooks on the seats in addition to the existing low hooks on the back of the console, you can never have too many hooks in a utility vehicle!

Re: Hooks for grocery bags, BADLY needed

The hooks would be useful. But the plastic bags are illegal in some places in the USA.

I use plastic milk crates in the bed. I also have a cover on the bed, so that would be a factor, and I use an adjustable bar to keep the crates near the tailgate for ease of use. I cal always take the crates and put use in the back seat area if necessary.

Bungie's are always very useful for securing goods, I always carry a few different lengths in the trunk and they come in handy regularly. It seems like things would just flop around on hooks anyway. Reusable shopping bags are definitely the way to go, better yet make your own!

Ah hem.....real men don't need hooks for grocery bags in their truck...............oh....sorry dear....of coarse I quit wasting time online and run you to the grocery store.

I'm gonna try the 3m hooks under the fold up seats...good idea.

Re: Hooks for grocery bags, BADLY needed

not an issue for me. baby seat takes up the middle of the backseat, so the groceries go in the trunk where they stay where I place them.

I use those 3m hooks to 1)hang my keys and 2) route my GPS wire down the side of the console. I'd be surprised if they're strong enough for grocery bags.

Re: Hooks for grocery bags, BADLY needed

I like the Idea of suspending something from the seats while folded up.

Hears an Idea! A wide bungee net the width of the seats folded so it makes a cradle maybe 18" deep could easily be rigged and hung from both the head rests, loose enough to enable easy loading of grocery bags (reusable ones, of course and not crush eggs, yet snug enough to hold bags tight. I bet one could get 4 or 5 grocery bags loaded into something like that.

I like this Idea and am gonna try it, will post pics when I do.

I'm into problem solving issues in my new Ridge, can ya tell?

I use the little 3M hooks for exactly what you describe. The make a larger hook (about 2" tall) that's strong enough to hold coats, small luggage, etc. I've got a couple of spares & I'll try it out tonight...
