Rear Splash Gaurds

Dear Honda,

So far I love my Ridgeline, The only complaint so far is why did'nt you all fork out the extra few dollors to install the factory rear mud gaurds? I am thinking I have to make that my first mod seeing as it make the truck look a little retarded with just the front. Just a thought, Dave

Re: Rear Splash Gaurds

The rear mud flaps are a virtual necessity and Honda should have put them on as standard. But you can purchase a pair and put them on yourself easily. Just don't buy them from the dealer. Go to H and A or similar company for a much cheaper price. To keep down on road rash you might even want to get running boards or side steps also.

I agree, this should be standard equipment on all RLs. It looks unfinished without them.

You honestly do not need installation instructions to put these on. DO NOT pay to have anyone 'install' them for you.

Not necessarily; especially when you live in climates like I do where 18" -20" of snow can easily fall within a 48 hour period.

Some members who have backed out of their home driveways with high snow banks have already ripped their rear mudguards clear off their rear fenders. While backing up, the rear tires clear a path for the front tires thus saving the front mudguards from the same painful death that the rears experienced.

Fronts are standard, rears are not.

Till you turn onto the street, then the front wheels make their our path and RRRIIIIPPP! Especially if the plow has been by and left a mound at the end of the drive.
I always back into my garage and clear the driveway of snow before I leave.
Don't care how late I am for work, after all it's just work.
