Re: Cupholders

So funny you should comment on the cupholders. I too have an Accord with the button cupholders and I thought WOW they really cheaped out on the Ridgeline ones with that foam plastic lining. That foam will be falling off in a couple of years. I wonder why they would change the style when the Accord ones are so much better. I know its kinda petty but when your spending $30K, I guess its OK to be petty.

Re: Cupholders

Here's the thing that I find a mystery. Obviously, Honda or any manufacturer will never be able to build a car/truck without something that does not live up to everyones expectations....but if they can go out and nail their target buyer as well as they do, you would think that they would know that something like the cup holder thing would actually get noticed.

I never have a problem with the cup holders or spilling anymore. I have had enough Starbucks Coffee Cup lids pop off during removal from ANY cup holder into disaster for me to fix the problem by buying one of their spill resistant coffee mugs!!!!!

Now if I could only find a way to get the Panties feature installed in my glove box!!!!!!

Re: Cupholders

the cupholders should be removable, and dishwasher safe.

My Jeep Liberty had a front cup holder that was easily removable, and able to be thrown in the dishwasher. Cleaned any pop, or dirt that got on there..

Re: Cupholders

Gotta say that I am pleased with the RL cupholders, especially in comparison with my wife's Ody. That fold-down tray won't hold anything larger that a soda can! I usually have the 44 oz cups or 1 liter bottles and have yet to find anything that doesn't fit my needs.

As for cleaning....keep the lids on tight!! The rear cupholders in the fold down seat are shallow and get messy, thanks to the kids so that's one that would be useful for easy removal and cleaning!

Re: Cupholders

The cupholders seem to be more than adequate IMHO. The Neoprene Holders while flimsy looking offer enough friction and stability to hold most cups in place.

I'd be happy if the neoprene (?) flaps would just last more than ten cups of coffee.

All four have been replaced, and now even one of those has been damaged. Pretty cheaply made material for such a refined vehicle.

Re: Cupholders

I can see where they might become a problem, but I have had no issues and mine have been through 20k miles of cups, so I have no complaints as of yet. I very much love my RL.. the only problem I had was the creaky steering wheel, which I had fixed at 3k and no problems since. I think if the cup holders are the only issue, I can live with it. (I really love the light in compartment under the cupholders!)

p.s. yea sometimes I keep a pair of my thongs in the glove box JUST in case of an accident. lol j/k
