Low Tire Pressure Indicator

This is the first car I've had with a low tire pressure indicator and I'm very happy to have such a feature.

I noticed that a block away from my place today that the indicator showed low pressure on the driver's side rear tire.

I pulled over and scanned the tire and saw a nail. It can be easily plugged and the tire will be just fine.

Great feature, all cars should have this!

"First time TPMS owner" here, too!
I "plugged" one of mine recently, even before the indicator came on. In fact, it never got the chance to come on, as the tire hadn't lost enough air.

Re: Low Tire Pressure Indicator

I'm glad the Ridge comes with this feature, though it could have come in really handy Tuesday when I had flat tire on my Accord.

I'm leaving for work and I spot a flat rear tire. First thing in the morning!
So I call work and let them know I'll be in a little late and get to changing the tire using the cheap POS jack that came with the car. No problems at all, just slow going and of course the dreaded mini-tire..

I have chrome 17'' Katana Spazzio rims (though the guys at the tire shop tell me their 18'') on low profile tires. As I moved the car onto a flat surface to change the tire I damaged the outer edge of the tire. So a simple patch would not do. Luckily I have insurance on the tires and it ended up costing me only $17 (not $160+) for a new one.

Re: Low Tire Pressure Indicator

My understanding is that TPMS systems will be manditory on all cars after 2007. I agree, it's a great feature. I wish you could program in the psi that it would trigger at however.

They do! All vehicles with a GVWR under 10,000 pounds and manufatured after November 1, 2006 are required to have a TPMS system.
