WooHoo! Just got confirmation! I'll be outta-dere @ noon!

It took a little bit of "upheaval", but it's all good.

And just listened to the NWS on my weather-radio:

Mostly sunny till evening... then 40% chance of precip...
low to mid 80's... then down to 60's...
#9 UV index(very high)...
Winds E 5mph.

Looks like a nice weather day for the meet according to the NWS!

I'll be the ROC'r with the STEELERS plate on the front!

Pittsburgh, hmm. That's about a 7 hr drive for me. I'm about 20 miles north of Philly. 14 hour total drive time all in one day. It's all turnpike, but still, that's a lot of driving. Wife will never sit that long. Pittsburgh, hmm.

I'm leaving La Crosse, Wisconsin, within an hour or two. It's a 13 hour drive. Make that 14 with the time change. I've spent all morning re-loading XP into my laptop and then putting back in the software. What a pain! As my computer friend who just switched to Mac says, "What do you want, to use a computer or be a systems administrator?" For my work I need a serial adapter and I have to get down to the level of re-assigning the Com ports. How bogus a design is this? It's time for Bill Gates to retire. Now watch, whatever motel I stay at won't have Internet access.

Folks, I'm bailing on this trip. I started getting a headache this morning when I was re-formatting my computer. It's now built into a full blown migraine. I've spent the afternoon on the couch, trying to see if a nap and relaxation would make it go away. It hasn't. I'm not going to drive 12 hours with a migraine. My eyes are killing me.

I haven't had migraines for maybe 20 years. This is now my third one in the past few months. It sucks.

LAST MINUTE DECISION - WE'RE ON THE WAY!!!

Talked to my wife and we decided to take the trip to Pitts.

Just cleaned the innerds of the RL, polished her shoes and will take her for a quick shower in the am then we will be leaving between 10 and 11-- looks like a 2 to 3 hr ride. Looking forward to meeting people!!!
