Original Factory Side Steps

Does anyone have the original factory side steps? I hate all of the debris splashing up on the side on my truck, and the ragged side appearance on the bottom of my truck. OEM running boards look a little plain, and the nerf bar style doesn't help with debris. Does the original OEM Side Steps do the trick?
Are they metallic?

I have the original factory side steps. Yes, they are metal - aluminum to be exact. And yes, they do keep debris from accumulating on the side panels.

i have oem side bars. they're great though they are a bit noisey when it rains

I just got them today on my 07 RTX. I got the black ones and they really go well with the dark cherry color. I think they look great on my truck. I'm very pleased. Too soon to tell if they keep stuff the side panels. Glad to hear from other posters they do.
