Re: Formal Black v/s Nighthawk Black

Well, I'm not going to engage in all these "lies that life is black and white" (except to say, "go look up the quote")... But my daughter has a Nighthawk Black Pearl Accord that's had body work done three times over the past two years (only once her fault). I don't know about Formal Black, but I can guarantee that Nighthawk is a b*tch to match & if you ever have to have bodywork, the repair has to be absolutely straight.

My last truck was black. I wanted a black Ridgeline. The only RTX in stock was white & now I'm really glad I got it. It simply doesn't show dirt much & coupled with the "color of brake dust" RTX rims, it looks clean even when it's not been washed for a couple of weeks.

No question...the Formal Black Ridgelines are hands down the fastest. I've proven this time and time again. I clocked my Formal Black RL from 0 to Dirty in under 30 seconds! Beat that all you White guys!

Hey Tcape. I didn't know you were going formal. No rain this week. I've made it 5 days without a trip to the car wash -- though I do dust it in the morning before I leave for work.

CS, do you use the California Duster? Hope you're lovin' your black RL as much as I am! Just washed it today. Man, I do love how that black paint shines.

Silver? LOL.. Nah..

This week I have been lucky. I only needed to dust mine off using the micro-fiber towel that came in the box with Turtle ICE. I do have the bra on mine this week. I can keep mine looking great by just dusting it as long as no moisture gets on it. I do keep it in the garage at night. I used the Turtle ICE detailer on mine after the last wash and i makes a huge difference. I think I found a GREAT tire black treatment in an aerosol. can. Easy to apply and it looks great a week later.
