Wonder if they make a "spray-on teflon"? I'd think your ice/snow worries would also be a thing of the past with THAT stuff on your cover!
But don't even THINK of doing it... Your tonneau looks much too cool to alter to the drab color of a spray-on coating.
It looks (in the pics), like the snow is easily removed out the back, over the tailgate. Did you just allow the ice to melt on it's own (in the garage)?
Might have to think of routing a "drain-tube" through the drain in the trunk, where a bucket could be placed... just trying to keep you out of the doghouse...
"Honey! Where'd all this water in MY parking-place come from!"
Enjoy your "winter mod"!

I run the RL through the car wash and the tri color wax keeps it nice and shinny along with making it slick for the snow... The ice melted while in the garage. No need for a drain tube as the cover is water tight and is at a slight angle. The water runs off the back and the rails I used are angled towards the sides and act as rain gutters. We are lucky that the garage is also has a slight pitch toward the garage door. Just some broom pushing to get the residual water out.... No complaints from the boss as she makes me keep the RL in the garage....
