Re: Factory Honda hood deflector vs. aftermarket
I replied to this before. I just ordered a Lund Bug Guard in clear that can be painted on the inside at any body shop. Just give them your paint code # that can be found on the drivers side door panel. The price was around $65.00 and the painting runs about the same. I had a hard time getting one and had to call Lund directly, although you need to order from a distributor. Alot of accessory shops say that they are not made yet. The part number for the clear is 18585 and if you want a smoked one it is 18485. Hope this helps.

Re: Factory Honda hood deflector vs. aftermarket
I picked up my Honda bug deflector today. Wasn't planning to actually purchase it, but I did have them order it for me. When I was down at the dealership today ordering an interior plastic mldg for my Ridge's interior(scratched one up pretty bad 2 days ago
), the parts guy asked if I was going to pick up the deflector than had come in over a week ago . My cost out the door was $106.Of course I keep forgetting that Honda in their infinite wisdom, refuses to include instructions with any of their bolt on accessories,so, I got back to my shop, opened the box, and no instructions inside DOH! Back to Honda for instuctions (which they print out). |

Re: Factory Honda hood deflector vs. aftermarket
In the future, just go to HandA for online installation instructions on all these Honda parts. They're a great company to order from too.

Re: Factory Honda hood deflector vs. aftermarket
Hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes with the following post.
I am also opening an old thread also. I have purchased many items from H&A- OEM Honda accessories. I am very happy with all purchases from H&A(cargo net, rear mud guards, black side steps, under seat tray/back seat) but I am trying to save $$$$, but also want the best. I know a pain in the as@#@@. I have added many items to my truck. I have saved money going with H&A compared to my local dealers. I have 4 dealerships, that I could drive to within 15-60 minutes. H&A has beaten the price and delivered to my front door. Thank you!!!! I have read many threads and Burtman Industries get a lot of praise as well. Their prices are better. But I need to see pictures and what your feedback/comments/Install/Etc to the items below so I can compare Honda OEM vs Burtman after(both Honda OEM & after market) I am considering the Hood Air deflector and door Visors. Here are the prices and items on their respectful sites: Your thoughts? Hood Defector: H&A Cost: $ 107.00 http://www.handa-accessories.com/ridgeline.html Burtman Industries: Cost: $70.00 http://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoo..._bugf_II_06_up Door Visors: H&A Cost: $154 http://www.handa-accessories.com/ridgeline.html Burtman Industries: cost: $55 http://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoo...vnt_shdnc_06up Thanks again I have made some great choices reading the forums on this site!!!! |

Re: Factory Honda hood deflector vs. aftermarket
Does Honda make a cleare OEM version or only the black (smoke) one? I want to color match the truck, so I believe my options are only going to lead me to after makert.
Correct? |

Re: Factory Honda hood deflector vs. aftermarket
I have both the bug shield and vent visors. I didn't like how the OEM bug shield was installed and you are able to see the bolts. The aftermarket one gives the truck a much smoother appearance. And I don't know what you guys are talking about quality. I had a Lund bug shield crack on me on a Jeep a while back and all it took was one call to have it replaced, no questions asked. It's all the same crap, but why spend double just because some company charged extra to stamp HONDA on it?? Oh and don't forget about your lovely friends at eBay.com last I checked the OEM bug shield was going for 102.50. (Yes I love starting wars
)
