mud/splash guards

The front guards have a smooth, flat surface on the tire side. Should be great for keeping snow/ice from building up.

The rear ones (installed by dealer) don't have such a surface - they are concave next to the tire and will collect snow/ice/gunk - the guards on my Focus are like this :-(

I'm suspicious that the dealer did not install OEM guards on the rear and that's why the inferior construction.

For those that have 'em - what are your rear guards like in this regard?

Re: mud/splash guards

That is the OEM mud guards unfortunately. Honda does crazy things man, that's all i can say. They make a great vehicle. Like this for example...03' Element...has NO armrests.........04' Element has drivers armrest only......05' Element has both.....go figure!!!

I am in the market for a RL........OK......I'll get it in may.....trading my Element in on it. It'll compliment my 06' Pilot EX 4 WD great. Anyway, if you want XM factory installed you have to get the RTL with moonroof WTF is up with that. 20K Element has it. 30K RL doesn't IMO the RTS on up should have factory XM. OK.....done venting for now

Re: mud/splash guards

You can actually get the XM radio as an accessory on the Ridgelines without a sunroof!

That would be the RT, RTS, and RTL without sunroof.

So cheer up!

"accessory" thats the key word......they have to tear your truck apart to install it......it's unreal what they have to do to install XM. I went to handaacceesories.com and looked at the install...OMG

I just got the approval from the wife......LOL....."get the RTL with moonroof"....."it's only money"......you know what? She's right!!!

Re: mud/splash guards

I saved $7K and got an RT. AI HON-K836 installation kit - $15.00. Pioneer AVIC-D2 navigation/XM double din unit, $1050.00. Pioneer GEX-P10XMT XM tuner, $150.00. Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth phone system, $150.00. Did all the install work myself. Having full navigation, integrated handsfree phone, and XM - priceless.
