Thumbs up Fog Lights on Factory Brushguard?

Last week I bought a new Ridgeline. I have a set of PIAA Fog Lights I need to install on the Ridgeline. I like the looks of the OEM brushguard but I do not know if I can install these lamps on this brushguard? Is the center section metal so I can drill and install the lights on the center section? Does anyone have any photos of their Ridgeline with aftermarket Fog Lights on the ridgeline?

Thanks and by the way I love the truck......

Re: Fog Lights on Factory Brushguard?

I'm pretty sure the OEM brushguard is just cosmetic and made completely out of plastic. I know it mounts only to the bumper skin and not to the front structure anywhere. If you search BULL BAR or BRUSHGUARD you should find a couple of aftermarket choices that are metal and designed to mount lights on. They probably cost about the same or even less, depending on whether you want black or chrome. Good luck and welcome to the ROC.

Cool Re: Fog Lights on Factory Brushguard?

Welcome to the ROC. Westin makes a Bull Bar that fits the RL in stainless steel or black powder coated. But like Twintym said the OEM is is only for show. You might want to check and see if putting a metal one on will void you warranty for your front air bags I'm pretty sure thats why the OEM is plastic

Re: Fog Lights on Factory Brushguard?

Thanks Guys,

I probably will go the Westin route. The Piaa's are just to bright to not have them installed.

Re: Fog Lights on Factory Brushguard?

If you already have a brush guard then Bonerfortuna's idea is a good one, looks nice. But if your still thinking about a brush guard, then the Dark Side is calling . . .
