Well, Katrina, you're probably just going to have to be patient and hang around here till one of us brave early adopters gets theirs installed and tested.
Here's what BAKflip says: Quote:
I know that's not you. Be patient, hang around, and within a couple weeks you should get some reports on the BAKflip cover. Ours should begin arriving this week or next. Have you visited their site yet? BTW; I too am very suprised at the treatment you've gotten from Honda. My experiences have been fine. I've had two small problems, and both were fixed while I waited, and without an appointment. Did you ever tell them what you wanted them to do? Maybe it was an honest question? exA4

I looked at that Leer but decided I wanted a cover. Your two pals seem to approve, though. ![]()

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover
Sorry for all the strikes. I've had strikes in my life with Toyota as well. Not as extreme, but still strikes - for example - had the entire Tacoma repainted due to hail damage - excellent work - except I get in my truck - the entire interior - a pig pen. White dust all over - poked holes in the doors from whatever they removed off my truck to begin with prior to painting - it was a pain to get fixed.
But, your prior post about wanting a new cover. My thought is, if it’s not installed at the factory and incorporates good design - it will leak - period. If you take of the old OEM and replace it, you will have drill holes in your bed due to the install - that would be a big concern to me. IMHO, I would keep the current cover and attempt to make to water proof as much as you can. The bed it self is pretty smooth and I would think work well with sealing it in a number of ways. I read how you really bashed Honda; and this part you won't want to hear. But, the reality is - all dealers want to sell a car and they will tell you anything you want to hear. That’s the bad part. Employees are hired by Honda, Toyota, GM. If the hiring managers don't hire the RIGHT person for the job, the risk of poor service will always come into play. How many times have we been in the situation where THAT person is in the wrong role; CLEARLY doesn't have the customer focused gene is his or her body. Long story short, we all get that loser employee who is there for the 'job' - not for the long term career and growing the business (but only to see himself/herself move up or out). I truly appreciate the 5 strike visual earlier. It's a sad story to read. Contact the BBB, if you so desire. I had to resort to that with XM - (talk about poor customer service, missed delivery, and talking to people you can't understand to even work on the issue, to name a few - holy COW). Reality # (whatever) – everyday customer service stories will either be top shelf or bottom barrel. The key to in making them top shelf is having the right person in the right role. When you hear of the excellent customer service, it usually implies that the person matched the role. Where as they would jump to make a customer happy, because they are there for the long term and growing the business they want to be in. I could go on about my experience with an out of town Honda service experience this week, but I won't. I need some water Whew….(steping down from my customer service soap box) (I’ll be back about 10pm for an encore presentation - no autographs please – donations accepted for my RL accessories fund)

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover
Now I see, those are Mike B's pooches, not yours. Same for the cap (not cover) and truck, etc. You were just linking to someone else's post.
So is that the reason for your vitriolic outburst? Now go to your room and think about what you've done! exA4

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover
Me too. And water tightness reports. Anyone have one in Tropical Storm Alberto?
: ) And I apologize for being a late adopter on this one. I've done my share of leading the pack in other non-automotive areas. Question about a TV anyone?
