I called back this afternoon spoke with Anthony he looked and said I see you were told it would ship on the 20th now they are saying it will ship next Monday. Anthony told me he would take an additional 5% off the price. That is great I would rather have my tonneau. Currently the purchase price is $551 with free shipping. This is my first order with them we will see if they come through.
I ordered mine for 629.99 on June 7, suppose to ship out from Autoanything on June 12 to June 14. ( tried to get the 579. price, but no deal)

Emailed them on June 20 to see why I haven't received shipping confirmation.
They emailed me back and said they would have reply in two days.

Checked my Credit Card today and saw that they took the money out on June 8. I'm use to people charging my credit card the day item is shipped.

They called me just when I was checking my credit card, and told me it would ship on June 26 or June 27. Ask them why they charged my card since cover was not shipped. They had no answer for that, just giving me my order status.

I know you usually can cancel a order before it ships, but they all ready charged the card

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

I'm pretty sure the covers ordered from autoanything actually ship from bakflip. At least that's what it seems to say on my label.
BAK Industries in N Hollywood, CA
It's fairly common for a distributor to take the heat for a maker because they don't want to lose their preferred relationship.
I also think BAK put out the word before they were ready to fill orders, which is also common.
Face it, we're early adopters. There's a price to pay for that.
Anyway, mine looks better today than yesterday. You'll love it. But go ahead and resent the makes and distributor for playing us.
Almost forgot to say, you get the pleasure of having other owners saying "Cool! Where'd you get that?"

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

By the way. In case you haven't seen it, here's another thread, started by MikeFL, about the installation of his new BAKflip. There are some really cool pictures and comments.
Guaranteed to raise one's spirits.

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

I too got the "Production Delay" excuse from the seller yesterday in an Email response. Mine was supposed to ship on the 20th. We are our own worst enemies by overtaxing the production capability of BAK. They are probably just a couple of guys in a rented warehouse with some machines to knock out these parts and then assemble the kits.

Nah. I saw MikeFL's pics and didn't see the need. I can't find my digital, and I fear it may have been stolen when my house was burgled.
Now I'm thinking about some cool decals for the panels, but I'm not quite sure. Then I'd post some pics.
