Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

Sucks but I think the price went back up, it was a lot lower a few days ago.

Cool Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

[quote=jsant01 I worry that the roll-back may "flutter" at high speeds. Please bear in mind, I'm not an expert on roll backs, but I do remember a flutter problem with the Retrax. Retrax has addressed the problem, but I'm not too sure I'd want to take the chance on a new design.[/QUOTE] ************************************************** ******* We've had our Retrax for over a year and have had no problem with flutter I highly recomend the Retrax And as for takeing a chance on a "NEW" design you bought a Ridgeline did'nt you

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

For what it's worth, I just talked to autogadgets.com about pricing. They're quoting $699 which includes an electric Dynolock a small bottle of 303 Protectant and free shipping.

This isnt a "roll" bak cover. This is a hard cover that folds up in a stack. I have had the retrax and the bakflip on my last truck, two different styles completely.

SB Ridge..

I called bak today since it seemed I was paying 100+ more that autoanything was offering. The guy looked it up on web and it showed 699 ( I hadnt looked since last week). He then called autoanything and asked and they advised him there was an error in pricing when they first listed. Looks the a few guys snagged it at a super price.
Oh well, he did say it would ship within the next day or two!!

Yes, I did buy a Ridgeline, 3/06 build. By then they built over 50,000 of them. I guess you could say I was hedging my bet.

The new design I was referring to was the roll-back from Bac Industries. I was only referencing the flutter problem Retrax experienced and, as I mentioned, addressed. I didn't mean to slam Retrax. Sorry, BIGGUY, if I did not make myself clear.

The price at autoanything is (was?) $579. Did they raise it due to high demand?

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

I was confused as well. AutoAnything told me that the $579.00 price was a "one day special promotion" and has expired. The price is now $699.00.

Re: Rolbak Tonneau Cover

Oops, another page. I made my post from page 4. I see there has been a change.
Anyone thought to offer them (autoanything) a mass buy? I doubt that BAK is going to give them a price break now, though.
Autoanything has lots of stuff. You'd think they'd want to make us happy.
There's a potential for quite a few sales here, especially after us early birds give opinions.
