Re: The "Silver" Show
It was at a small section of beach were I used to take photos of my other car between Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel Island here in Florida....... It's really only good for photo's There are much nicer beaches I just did not want to pay the toll to get on the Island, but I will next time the water is nicer there.......... Here is a pic of my old car stuck just off shore of where that pic was taken... Don't laugh though I made it out farther than a Jeep and a Scottsdale sitting on 36"s

Re: The "Silver" Show
I have updated my truck, here are some shots of the grille guard and tail light guards I installed just today.
Shoot me an e-mail, and I'll link you to a complete review. Obviously, the admin here does not like other Ridgeline sites.

i was thinking of putting one of those on...but i don't know if that big grille guard up front causes more wind noise on the freeway or maybe more vibration to the truck. so, can you please tell me if you feel a difference when driving the truck on the free way...wind noise or vibration...or maybe both...thanks bigdave! this truck looks like a bad boys toy now! lol ![]() |

I havn't driven it on the freeway yet, but I will tell you that the front piece is solid and tight. In my driving around town (up to 50 mph), there is no noticable wind noise from the front. I think it is pretty well designed. I had to trim the lower splash guard under the nose to fit the brackets in. A good razor blade does it. The whole installation was probably about 3 hours and I did it alone. I will probably go back next week and check all the bolts to make sure they stayed tight. I'll post if I hear any extra noise, but I don't think it will be a problem.

I wired them by plicing into the parking light on driver side. For anyone wanting to do this its pretty simple made evident by the fact that I did it with Chris talking to me on the phone at night with just a small flashlight! You need a relay. You simply pull the very front push pin connector in the drivers front wheel well. pull it back a little. As Chris said "It'll bend and pop back no problem." lol it does. inside take out the parking/turn signal bulb. On it there are three wires. middle is black. one side is pink with silver spots and blue line. The other is pink with BLACK line and silver dashes this is the one you want. Yeah try doing this with a flashlight. Be sure its the pink/black/silver combo. peel back a bit of the shrink wrap around all three. then strip a little bit of the wire coating. splice a wire onto it. I used the female type connectors cut off the end that normally goes on the end of a wire then pryed up one of the loops to slide over the bare area of the wire about 1cm. crimped that down and then put the free end of my splice wire in the other side and crimped that walla secure connection. electrical taped that. Now you have to get the relay like $5-$6 from auto store. it has four pins or connectors. two pins run the "Switch" easy way to find the two if you dont have directions is to put on a gound wire. I put my ground right up in front of the hood with the battery ground. Its a ten MM socket. then put a positive to battery. start testing pin combos. when you Hear the relay "Switch" or click yes it is audible those are the two pins you want. Deal only with these two pins for now. Now leave one as the ground. remove the hot or positive. Then on the other one of these two attach the wire you spliced into the parking light (you could also do low beam and its probably easier to get to I just don't know which is hot when on,but you could figure it out by using the relay, that is to say after you found the two pins that matter leave the ground. take the hot one off the battery. turn on the truck and the low beams. pull the drivers side headlight off. it has grease in it though. touch the hot wire to each pin in the headlight when it clicks thats the corresponding wire you would want splice into that instead if you want fogs with lows instead of parking.) Ok so whichever way you go you now have the two pins that make it switch covered. one ground and one hot when headlight or parking light comes on. Don't worry the power does not come from this light. it will only serve as the signal to switch it on. Final two: either one gets a power from the battery. I used the fused line from the fogs I bought. ChrisM strongly advised that this should be fused. I agree/ or agreed(thought better not to argue whatever) The other one goes to your lights. Tape everything down and wire your lights Taa daa your done.
