Side Protection Strips

Anyone know of an alternative to the body side protective strips other than Honda's $549 ($394 @ H & A)?

Any third party strips out yet specificaly for the RL?

Question Re: Side Protection Strips

Do they work? If so, they are my next add. Honda owner-link e-store has them for 394.80 with free shipping.

Re: Side Protection Strips

400 dollars, it just seems like they are on the high side.
Are they that well made?

My Hitch and Harness are only 350 and it makes the truck a lot more useful.

Re: Side Protection Strips

They work well. They have saved my doors from dents from people and wind and I am happy I bought them.

Re: Side Protection Strips

I have them and in three weeks that I have owned the truck, if I look very closely and in just the right light, I can see several impact lines that I am sure would have resulted in visible door dings. The price is high, no doubt, but they match the vehicle nicely and they work. The only thing that works better is just to park as far away from everyone else near an island. Make sure that you are not on the down hill side so that shopping cart torpedos dont get'cha. Try as you may, there are going to be those Esso-bees out there that get your new vehicle without even trying. You must at all times be aware of your surroundings, take strong defensive positions and be ready to raise the shields at a moments notice. Aye Captain! Warp speed Scotty!!

I am considering installing an electric fence charger connected to the body of the truck so that when someone opens their door into the side of mine they will get a real surprise and get knocked on their Asx. Just kidding of course... But it would be fun to sit back an watch!

Re: Side Protection Strips

By the way, it is also VERY EFFECTIVE at discouraging dogs from peeing on your wheels more than once!
