Re: Gas Mileage

I've only run 2 tanks through, at 16.9 on the money for both.

Re: Gas Mileage

Two tanks so far and I am driving almost all in the city. 14 is what I have averaged. I have done a ton of trips that are under 10 miles though, and I think that is killing the mileage.

Re: Gas Mileage

I have been through 2 tanks so far and have gone 325 miles on first and 315 on second tank. Most of my driving is highway however it is a very slow highway.

Re: Gas Mileage

I just got my RTS a couple of weeks ago, and the first two times I filled up I got about 20mpg, with about 2/3 of the miles highway and the other 1/3 on dirt roads. The third fill up was all highway and it was also about 20mpg. I hope it goes up, but I can live with it. Love the truck.

Re: Gas Mileage

I just filled up my RTS, really before it was even near empty, but the gas prices are going up every day around here. It was down to a little more than 1/4 tank left.

16.6 MPG, about 50% rural, 10 miles of Interstate, the rest general traffic conditions but no real city driving.

Consumers Report recently compared the Avalanche and the Ford Sportrac. Said the Avalance did "13 mpg overall," the Ford "14."

I imagine they do better on the highway. Most of us do a mix of driving.

Re: Gas Mileage

I have a 2007 RTS. I have 1500 miles on her and my worst was 12.8 MPG and my best has been 14.5. I was considering a Avalanche since the sticker implied it was better on gas. However its not a Honda. My neighbors Avalanche is worse on gas compared to my Ridgeline , plus he has had some major problems with it too. It is not good on gas, but is a great truck!!

Re: Gas Mileage

The feds have finally updated the MPG figures using a more modern test.

Here's the comparison on the old and new figures for the Ridgeline. Only dropped the MPG 1 mpg at each end. The new ratings are 15/19 compared to the old 16/20. Fits in line with what I get.
