New RT, New Member from Alabama
Hello y'all! I just bought a new '08 RT and am new to this forum. I have about 300 miles on the truck and so far I love my new Ridgeline. I started off looking at the '08 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab and didn't even consider the Ridgey at first because of the high sticker price. I dickered and dickered with the Toyota dealer for about a week and couldn't get him to come down to the price I wanted to pay.
Well, about that time a friend at work asked if I had considered the Ridgeline. I said no, they're too expensive. I thought about it later and then decided, what the heck, let me get some quotes from some Honda dealers. Lo and behold, they were offering the Ridgeline at the same price as the Tacoma! So I test drove the Ridgeline, got hooked, and, as they say, the rest is history. It has a bigger cab, 4WD, in-bed trunk, VSA, and VTM. The Tacoma I was considering had none of these and the dealer wanted the same price for it. I'll try to post some pictures of the new ride a little later. I can relate to one of the previous posters (also from the great state of Alabama) who traded a Toyota Tacoma Double Cab in for a RL. This is a great forum! Lots of great info. God bless y'all! Welcome to the ROC, Wolverine! And congrats on getting your new Ridgeline. I've only had mine for about 10 weeks, so to me, it's still brand new. Lots there to love. Be sure to check out some of the info here on the forum. You'll find lots of things that are very helpful for Ridgeline owners.
BTW, I grew up in Alabama (northeast corner). Great mountains in that part of the state.

Thank you all for the kind replies! Tcape, I live in the northern part of the state and, yes, the mountains are beautiful. They are one of the better kept secrets of the South!
