Hopefully this is not taken personally but workers outside of japan do not take as much pride in their work speaking in general terms of course, there are always exceptions and you may be one of those exceptions todlit. When I am buying a car anymore, I go straight to a dealer and look for one that is "off the boat" if it's at all possible. I hate to say that being an american but our companies just don't build as good a vehicle as the japs do and the sales, maintenance reports, and buying trends solidify that claim. Look at consumer reports latest report on the top 10 most reliable and most unreliable vehicles. All but 1 in the top ten were foreign and all but 1 in the bottom ten were american. (that was off memory so I may be slightly off) Even if the numbers are a bit off that still is a horrible percentage from the big 3's standpoint. I think we have the ability to make cars that rival foriegn cars but why we don't is an enigma all wrapped up in a conundrum. As much as I want to be patriotic and buy american, I have very little confidence in the big 3.
