VW- Mexico!!!!!
Mazda- America, Canada
Honda- America, Canada (i heard some from Mexico??)

Ford- America
GMC- America
Dodge- America

Nope, check the list of materials used to build the "US Made" automobiles. The majority of the parts ar emanufactured outside the US. IIRC, Dodge has manufacturing plants in Mexico. I beleive GMC does as well.

yep my dad worked for mercedes, and go online get a vin for each class, some of them are made in India only a few are still made in germany, i think my sisters 2001 SLK is made in Canada

I was able to get almost a quarter of a million miles from my 98 Ford Expedtion and it's still running strong, albiet a bit thirsty at the pump. I've been trying to sell it, but todays market is not big on gas guzzling SUV's, even customized ones.

A large portion of my family members are Ford and Chevy fans. After one Yamaha (Radian) and one Honda (500cc Shadow) motorcycle, three Fords, one Chevy, two Dodges, one '66 Rambler (6 cyl), and one Mazda, one Acura, and four Hondas cars / trucks, I will never buy a big three auto again. All autos will have issues; it's how the dealers and the manufacturers handle the issues that have driven me away from the big three.

I owned 2001 F-150...

Work edition with nothing, only A/C. 6 cyl.
I beat the crap out of it... sold last year with 150K miles and only one problem, clutch pilot bearings.

I got it new for $12.000 or so and changed oil every 20K miles.

I remember having am radio only, 5 sp. tranny, manual windows.... Nothing to break down...

traded in my exploder for 2008 rtl. also sold my 26 year old f100.

i kind of miss both cars.

however, i really like my rtl and i'm glad i traded.
