Pictures of the 1st Annual CAL ROC MEET

Hello all, this will be a verbal report. I just discovered I left the cord to down load my pictures at home. I thought I could just do it directly from the memory card but the card I use in my camera is larger than the newer ones!

As far as the meet goes, what a meet it was! I hung out with my ROC family from 08:30 this morning until 21:00 tonight! The SoCal ROC had breakfast together. At 10:00, we left the restaurant and drove to the Boardwalk Parking lot to wait for the NorCal and CenCal ROC'ers. They all arrived at the same time, about 12 of them plus a newbie who just happened upon us from Sacramento. We got together, introductions were made, the great name buttons made by M'Ladyridge were exchanged and pictures with the Owners and their prized possessions were taken.

The group photo was then taken at the and some Presentations were made (photos 1,2, and 3 below) as well as a birthday serenade for Twintym! ( photos 4 and 5, He got all blush and goo goo eyed!) then Beepbill123 showed up just as we were about to leave for phase to of the day. We all spent time exploring the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, beach area, and another group picture on the fisherman's wharf.

At 14:00, we all gathered in the parking lot again to caravan to Monterey and do the 17 mile drive. Some of the group had to leave us but 9 of us went for the 44 mile caravan to Monterey. More pictures and great scenery and then it was time for dinner. We all went out for Round Table Pizza and Italian Ice Cream after wards. We lost Dragonslayer and Kahnartist after dinner so the rest stayed for Ice Cream and conversation.

After the ice cream, it was time to head back to Santa Cruz and file this report. A great time was had by all. It is always great to put a name with a face and meet that person in person. We all agreed that this should be an annual meet for NorCal ROC and SoCAl ROC to come to CenCal for the Annual CAL ROC Meet same time next year!

Again I apologize that I can't post my pictures at this moment as promised but I will do so as soon as I return home on Sunday night. 5S Dude, MGuzman, Twintym, Beepbill123, Dsowell, Mwarren, Dragonslayer, Khanartist, Psango, Uglytruckling, Bongus, and those I did not mention who took pictures will be posting them on this thread after I finish here I hope.

Here's my pics. Ditto on the comments Tony made...Great organizing skilllzz. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a nice embroidered hat...I'm sure it will quickly become a ROC Collector's item. There were so many things around the area to keep us occupied and we were lucky enough to find space on the warf for pics. Who out there can beat pictures of the beautiful Pacific as a backdrop...are we getting jealous yet? So for next year, let's get more brothers and sisters out on the meet...beautiful location, beautiful people and of course beautiful RLs.

We we’re totally blown away by our Northern Cal and Central Cal brothers & sisters coming together for this meet & greets. This place and event should absolutely become an annual event as we too we’re pleasantly surprised to receive the awesome embroidered goodies and the special ROC Collector's item hat. The SoCal members back home have got to have a second chance to be able to make the drive to attend this meet! From the unbelievable breakfast this morning to the ice cream social this evening and everything in between it was one of the best event yet! And we both thank every one of you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing in our love for this very unique truck.

Here's another pic. The Blues were out in force today. I think we have a total of 5 Blues. Where were my Silver brethren? Next year...let's show them the true color. Another shout out goes to Dragonslayer for bringing the homemade salsa for us to enjoy. Everytime I reflect on the day, it gets better and better...good thing I took two jars...Thanks Martin, it will keep me nourished while I watch some football on Sunday.

I sure enjoyed seeing the White and Red colors represented today and really would have liked to see a few Wild Cherry and Grey Ghost colors as well………

Wow, fantastic pics everyone!! Some great scenic shots overlooking the ocean!

The rest of us ROC heads that couldn't be there, were there in spirit.

Can't wait to see when and where the next CAL meet is! You CAL guys & gals really know how to ROC!!!
