Re: Added OEM Fogs w/ 3000K HID conversion
Love the fogs, yet I'm with you on the RTX grille. It looks great, but like the factory grille it is missing either character or certain parts that would "finish" the look of either. The best grille I've seen would have to be a painted black factory one with the H emblem painted more of a gloss black finish on a Black ridgeline. THAT looked sick.
The fog light conversion looks sickeningly bright. I'd hate to be the car who pissed you off at night! Any poor animal who stopped to stare at those suckers would need the sunglasses off of Stevie Wonder!

Re: Added OEM Fogs w/ 3000K HID conversion
I got the HIDs from http://www.cqlight.ca/
I first tried them on my Element and had no problems at all for the 1.5 years I had it. On the RL, I have 5000K on low beam and 3000K on fogs. They do not have the 3000K listed on their site but I contacted them and they do have it. |

Re: Added OEM Fogs w/ 3000K HID conversion
A few questions:
How was the install? Where did you place the ballast? I noticed a disclaimer on their website : "Our HID-Xenon Conversion Kit are for off-road driving in the United states only, we do not held any responsibilities if its used on daily driving." Is this just a legal thing? Something to clear them of any liability should we blind people in our trucks? |

Quote:
Any aftermarket HID conversion (not factory) I believe is considered illegal for street driving. I have never had any trouble with the law with them nor had anyone flashed me before. Heat....no problems that I can see...plus they draw less watts than the regular halogens.
