Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

All I wanted was a cushion to keep cans from rattling in the cupholders. I took piece of puffy waffle foam shelf liner, made a template & cut it out. It's kinda figure-8 shaped. Works fine. Total cost was zero as we had some shelf liner (conveniently beige) lying around.

Making the template was also easy: I put a piece of cardstock thickness paper over the cupholders & traced the edge with my thumbnail. It took a little trimming to make the template fit perfectly...

Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

I purchased and installed Wilson's pads the other day. They were professionally packaged and labeled. They fit well and look great.

Yes, you can make your own, but I can't cut anything out with a scissors that looks as good as something that's been die cut. And yes, some of the these areas have OEM rubber in them already. But I consider Wilson's pads as "sacrificial". I have an old Range Rover and the OEM rubber dash pads etc. eventually dry up & curl from the sun and heat in the car. I think Wilson's pads will help prevent this from happening in the RL. Let's hope; cheap insurance considering what it would cost to replace the OEM rubber.

As many have stated - Wilson's superior product & customer service is unmatched!

You can find Wilson's pads here:

Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

I ordered a full set of the pads for my RL from Wilson on Ebay. The initial description does them no justice for the function they provide. I hate rattles, and after easily installing these pads I am treated to a quiet cabin environment. There is no doubt these pads are worth the price, and Mr Wilson does an excellent job of cutting and labeling each pad. High quality, and Fast shipment. Couldnt ask for more.

Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

I just put mines in the other day. Overall, they're not bad. It def lower the rattling and noise if you put keys or whatever movable item like before. It's a good buy.

+ The More Pads set is $12+$3 = $15
for a total of $48

hmmm... question is, how hard can this be to make these... I have scissors! Looks like I could also make a trunk mat with the material as well. If I buy a roll of this (or however it works), I figure I can get a lot of material for the cost of a factory trunk pad (~$50) + the costs I just stated.

Comments?
I made my own pads. I got a roll of very dark gray (almost black) shelf liner from Lowe's for about $5. It's not the stuff with holes in it, but a textured, padded shelf liner. It's not as thick as the pads sold on eBay, but thick enough to do the job well. It took a while to cut out all the pieces, but they ended up fitting perfectly. I used a paper cutter to cut the straight lines, and used scissors for rounding the corners. I was even able to cut a nice fitting single pad for the dual cup holder. Made a nice one for the trunk shelf, too. And I've still got half a roll of the shelf liner left over. Hey, I'm cheap. What can I say.

Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

I got the set from Wilson. Nice product, fit very well, good economical option for those places Honda "forgot" to put their rubber liner/covering.

Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

Not cheap, but worth the savings in time trying to cut out material by hand and the material should be very durable. Excellent seller with quick shipping.
If my wife ever upgrades to a newer pilot, I will purchase these for her as well.

Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

I got a set from Wilson as well. Very nice, neatly packaged and labeled, and shipped very quickly. I love them so far, no rattling of items anywhere in the storage areas. With how much storage there is in this thing, I would consider this a must-do, and I think it's worth buying from Wilson considering the amount you get and how accurate they are!

Thumbs up Re: Neoprene Interior Pads

I purchased a set for my Ridgeline, I like the pads, I have used them for my Element, when I had it, and my CRV. I recommend purchasing a set, they can really save your trays from being scratched and prevent stuff from rattling around.
