If you want brands, part numbers and prices, go to post #2 and take the link to the Clean or Replace thread for a discussion of the various options.

Re: Don't neglect the cabin air filter!

Is this a fairly simple removal and replacement?

Yes very simple...

See the following for details...

Clean or replace your own cabin filter, improve air flow & save a bundle

Re: Don't neglect the cabin air filter!

I assume it's a "replace as needed" item, but does anyone know of the average mileage people are getting out of these before required? I mean, of course if you live on a dirt road and drive off-road it will likely be needed sooner than an asphalt-bound commuter's would...

How do you go about replacing those? Through the glovebox?

Re: Don't neglect the cabin air filter!

For those who are driving dark-colored vehicles and have noticed a decrease in A/C performance during hot & muggy weather, replace your pollen filter!

Higher fan speed = Better air circulation = Efficient cooling output

Are light colored exempt? Do they repel pollen?
