Burn in the seat! repair possible?

hi folks
I've discovered a small cigarette burn in the middle of one of my seats.......grrrrrrr. I have the standard grey seats (no leather).

does anyone know if someone is able to repair this? or idea on price?

I know that car dealers can repair ALOT of cosmetics like this when they prep your trade-in when preparing to sell. Not too anxious about hearing a dealer's price quote though.

PM me if you want to buy an original grey replacement seat cover. I have one left over from a project that never panned out for me.

I've tried using the fixit kits in the past w/ poor results. I'm pretty unskilled labor but dont know if you can really make'em work with our seats.
Bill B -thanks I appreciate it!

now to figure out how get the cover off

Re: Burn in the seat! repair possible?

If you live near a large/medium sized city, there should be a car upholstery shop in the area. I had a truck (thank God, not my ridgeline) that my son got in with a screwdriver in his back pocket that put a large slash in the seat.
Upholstery was a "velour-type"...the shop charged about $150 to repair it and you had to look VERY closely to see it.
A good shop should be able to make a repair that's indistinguishable...good luck.

Re: Burn in the seat! repair possible?

Hey guys , real quick...I want to replace the bottom rear seat fabric. I found the seat fabric online for about $80 at an OEM honda parts webstie. But that's just the fabric, so what do you do? Take it to an upholstery shop and have them replace it? Probably not worth trying at the dealer because of cost, right?

Re: Burn in the seat! repair possible?

Depending on your deductible, it is always best to replace the seat material. A rat/mouse chewed a small hole in the front seat of my Pilot. The replacement cost of the seat cover by Honda was around $400 and my deductible was $200. I found a guy locally who patches these types of problems. While I am generally pleased with his work and the excellent color-matching he did, I can still see the patch and doubt it will last much over a year or so. His fee was around $160. As I look back on the experience, I should have ponied up the extra cash and gone with an OEM seat replacement.
