AC Question...?

When driving with the AC unit off, the vents continue to blow air (light enough where I can barely feel it on my face)? Is this normal? I thought when you turn the AC off, it shuts all of the vents.

Just wondering if this is normal...

Re: AC Question...?

When you turn the AC off, you are not affecting any other of the automatic climate control function, so the fan will still continue to function and will try to maintain whatever temp you have set.
If it's just air being forced through from outside, try turning on "Recirculate" to close the outside vents.

+1. Every Honda I've ever owned is like this. I rarely use the fan control in my accord because when I commute it warms up without the fan well enough unless its really cold outside.

Re: AC Question...?

All Honda climate control systems default to "fresh air" at start up. This means that the air from the outside is free to flow into the inside of the car. Even if you turn the heater completely OFF - you can still feel some airflow when driving at a decent speed. You would have to push the "recirculate" button for this to stop. A door inside the HVAC system moves, an blocks the path of air coming in and instead recycles the air inside the cabin.

Re: AC Question...?

Ah...ok. This makes sense. I meant turning climate control off, not just the "A/C" button. Thanks for the info guys!!!
