Re: Best affordable seat covers?

I'm with Bill below, I have 2 dogs (St. Benard and a Rotty) and I am wondering if this is the way to go. Just curious if in your opinion the covers would be disasterous to mix with a dogs nails. They are easy about getting in, but on a sudden stop/turn they dig in a little.

Those seat covers look great, I think its worth the money, so long as I would ruin them right away with the pups.

Re: Best affordable seat covers?

Thanks N68330, guess that I did not go back far enough in my search. Yours look great, like the one color option. I will order swatches today, you and others here sold me. With my element, did not worry about seats, now must protect my baby(ridgeline). Best wishes, Bill

I'm really thinking that depending on how sharp/long you let your dogs' claw get and how active they are at pawing at things these covers may be picked and possibly damaged if they're too aggressive while riding. Even an accidental hard swipe may mark the neoprene. I can only say with any certainty I know that when my son's 6 mo. old puppy rides in the back with him, she hasn't hurt our covers yet, and you know how restless a puppy can get. I'd say for ultimate protection you may want to consider a mat to lay over the covers for when the dogs go along might be a thought, and the covers used to protect the seats from spills and mishaps from the two-legged animals on board.

I am very satisfied with the durability of these covers in general from UV exposure as well as every day wear and tear from so called normal use, but I just can't say for sure what might happen when animals are added to the mix.

Thanks for the compliment! I really have enjoyed these covers for 2.5 years now as I mentioned in an earlier post. I know for certain when I'm in the market for covers again in the future I'll turn to Wet Okole without hesitation!

I like the one color look myself, but I'm pretty basic and plain (i.e. boring) when it comes to things like this.

Good luck and if you decide on Wet Okole I'm certain you won't be disappointed!

I hate leather or vinyl because I sweat profusely when next to seat like that. That's why I chose the RTS.............cloth seats. But they do need protection. Since these covers are neoprene, are they hot? Do they breathe?
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I have been out of town and then I didn't see it when I was on here Monday.
I am very hot natured and I do not find these to be hot at all. They are the best year-round covers I have ever had and i have always had some type of cover on all my vehicles seats!
Again, well worth the money!

Re: Best affordable seat covers?

I like the way those look. But for me on the other hand I have cloth and will be doing a full conversion using OEM honda Seat leather to both front and rear seats. Has anyone tackled this type of project yet? I have already replaced the door armrests and the front and rear consoles with leather. So I'm thinking at this point I may have to wing it

I ordered from,

Re: Best affordable seat covers?

Have you found that those covers tend to bunch up or roll when you get in or out of the vehicle?

I've considered them, but would think the only benefit is not getting your original seat so dirty. Wear guard I'm not so sure about.

In a word, NO! The fitting is very snug, and with the type of backing underneath the neoprene, they resist any sliding or tendency to move at all when getting in and out. If there is any problem at all, it would maybe be the front seat bottom covers. The bottom pieces for the front seats have nylon ties that run from front to back as well as from side to side which fasten under the seats. I found I didn't even have to fasten the straps that go from side to side -- just used the front to rear ones and as long as the straps are pulled tight all is fine. In full disclosure, it was a little troublesome and time consuming for impatient, lazy me to spend the time trying to route the straps under the front seats that ran from the sides, and after just a very short time I found they weren't really needed as long as the straps running from front to back are cinched down pretty tightly. I just tucked the side straps down inside the seat trim running around the seat bottoms.

As far as wear, I took the front covers off a couple of months ago to just get a peek at the seats since I forgot what they even looked like after over 2 years being covered up. They looked as clean and factory new as the day I first laid eyes on the truck. Wish I could say the same for my windshield, but that's another story.
