Rear door silly

I was running a wire last night for my satellite radio and I tried to remove the rear door sill to hide the wire. Well I did not snap in and out like the front apparently it has small clips that slide in and out. Well the middle 1 broke in half and the other two are in tact but i can't get any of the clips to hold back tight. Any tips?

Re: Rear door silly

See if there are replacement clips. If so, replace the clips.

You may be able to acquire a slightly used set of plastic sill plates from one of our members who have purchased a set of custom billet engraved replacement door sills from the ROC.

Re: Rear door silly

The two outer clips that are in the frame are still intact just the middle clip is cracked in half on the top. So I can still use the sill I am just not aware of how to get it back on. It appears you have to slide it on some how? you can just push down on the top and have it snap back.

Re: Rear door silly

If I remember right, the sill plate has molded-in clips at each end, and uses removeable standard door panel clips in the middle that clip into holes in the metal sill. If so, then those clips are available at your Honda dealer. They're $.99 each.

Re: Rear door silly

Yes, replacement clips are available from the Honda dealer. What you need to do is remove the clips from the frame & then slide them into the slots on the plastic. Then you just set the trim into position & give it a **** to set the clips into the frame

Liquid Nails construction adhesive! Just be damned sure it's where you want it before it hardens!
