How long should I expect to wait

Just ordered a 2008 ridgeline last week and was told I'd have to wait until april. Is this normal? As far as I know the truck is built 1.5 hours or so away from me. I don't mind telling you I'm getting antsy.

I am surprised they did not swap out with anothr dealer and deliver to you same day!!

Is it legal to buy in the states and bring back? No locator service??

It all depends if they already had the car coming in. Honda has us do our ordering...i think it's 3 months in advance. They may have had one coming in already that they assigned to be yours. Honda will show us what we have coming in, but a VIN # will not be assigned until about a month or so before the car gets here. Once the dealer has the VIN # they can track the vehicle for you and Honda will provide an ETA for when the truck will arrive (usually a few weeks prior)

We had to wait a month (April 2005) and it was a LONG month but so worth it! We spent a lot of time at the dealership looking at the truck they had on the floor. Remember, we love photos, so go pick it up with camera in hand!

FWIW, April is less than a week away...

Do they do dealer searches/trades with other dealers in Canada?

hmm, bringing the camera is a good idea. Yup the waiting is all that much harder when the car I'm using is on its last legs. I just hope I love it as much as all you guys.

I didn't even ask, someone else at work just mentioned this but I guess if he didn't offer then he couldn't/wouldn't. A week is a long time no?
