Do the install or clean the truck? Choices, choices.....

I paid $230 shipped for the pair from an authorized dealer. I can hook you up with the guy if you want.

Wink Re: Shovelhd media/nav upgrade

Tonight I mounted the Directed ANL fuse holders and ran the 4G wires in and out of them. The blue 100A circuit is for the sub amp (Diamond D61000.1), and the red 100A circuit is for the stage amp (Eclipse XA4000) and the rest of the behind the seat electronics.

Yeah, I know my engine compartment is dirty

Mybe, but holding off for a bit. My job is a little up in the air right now, so not trying to spend money and I want to audition some components to figure out what I like.

However if the guy is in SoCal and has a shop I could listen I would be interested

Your install looks great so far and will hit hard, those diamonds also look great. You have good taste in equipment.

Re: Shovelhd media/nav upgrade

Hevan't gotten there yet.

Another question. For those that have electronics other than amps behind the rear seat, where did you pull the switched +12V power from?

Ugh yea I mean the amp, duh! lol

I noticed the gold bolt on one of the seat belt clips and also the holes already in some of the mounts under the seat, was prolly going to just ground there, that should be ok eh?

Re: Shovelhd media/nav upgrade

It's been tough to work on the system lately with work and the bitter cold. Today I spent a few hours working on the rear seat area.

I am using eDead V2 deadening material. The amp boards are 3/4" plywood. The comp amp is a Class D Eclipse XA4000 (125Wx4@4ohms). The sub amp is a Class D Diamond Audio D61000.1 (1000W@1ohm). I think I'm going to use the center 10mm bolt for the amp ground.

Re: Shovelhd media/nav upgrade

I finished up the installation of all of the interior electronics last night. I was too tired to take pictures, so I'll post them later. Everything is installed:

Head unit
Nav box
Sirius tuner with XM antenna converter/amp
Bluetooth box
iPod box
TV tuner and antennas
PAC SWI-ALP steering wheel adapter
Amps
Interior power and ground
Interconnects

I still have the Big 3 wiring to do, as well as finishing the rear camera, speakers, and dampening.

I am having a similar problem with the PAC box as another poster. I have it wired up exactly as the Ridgeline directions show. Green/red to the white, 3900 ohm pullup resistor between this and ground. I programmed the PAC to type 3. It flashes three times at me when I power it up. I push the mode button, hold down the Vol+ button on the wheel, and there's no response from the PAC.

Did I use the wrong resistor? Any ideas?

TIA
