Re: Blitzsafe Aux Adapter
Quote:
From the description it is all things to all people and should work fine for you. When I first read that description several months ago I thought it was the perfect adapter for the Ridgeline to add an AUX input. I like the small form factor when compared to some of the other choices. It is plug and play and completely reversible. However, from the user experiences I read about earlier in the year, the thing worked inconsistently and some owners needed to send it back for a chip/firmware update. What makes me hesitant is the total absence of success stories from owners of this adapter for the Ridgeline in particular, and from other Honda/Acura owners in general. Has Blitzsafe finally found the ideal firmware so that it works perfectly? Are all the owners quiet now because there are no problems? Who knows... It's the silence that bugs me. I think Logjam is a reputable dealer so they may be able to exchange it in the event of a problem (you may want to verify who pays for shipping in that event). Blitzsafe over the years has proven themselves to be a funny company. Sometimes good products, but sometimes huge delays in getting products out or fixing bugs. It is almost like they work on things in serial and can only deal with one thing at a time. I just don't know, but I wouldn't buy one until I heard a couple of success stories or was GUARANTEED excellent support in the event of problems. Life is too short to deal with buggy electronics. |

Re: Blitzsafe Aux Adapter
not that it helps, but i got the blitzsafe adapter from logjam for our mdx (w/ nav and xm) i also got a 3 input switching box and an ipod adapter from logjam
the snhond plugged right into the back of the radio where a white factory connecter is, i'm not sure what the plug is for, i htink it was for an external cd changer, then the factory connector plugs right into the y harness on the blitzsafe unit.. that gives you 1 set of rca inputs next i connected the 3 input box to my sirius tuner and to the ipod, so now we can switch between the 2 plus xm still works (for the next 2 months anyway) i don't nof if the ridge is anything like the x, but it should be fairly similar bdr |
