Re: Soundgate, where is the cheapest place to get it?

Hey all, I've completed the install with the Soundgate purchased from eBay for $95. I'm completely satisfied with the performance soundgate and the drive and play.

The Soundgate provided the RCA input that was required for the optimal connection that the drive & play recommended.

Although the "y" cable didn't perform as I expected, I opted to disconnect the (((XM))) and utilize the 14 pin input for the Soundgate.

Just to clarify, when all the connections were made(drive and play, "Y" cable, soundgate), the volume on the (((XM))) was practically not existant. Keep in mind I currently DO NOT have an active subscription with (((XM))), and I'm basing this conclusion on the sound level of the (((XM))) announcement. I'm not sure that an active subscription would make a difference.

But in my opinion, the Harman Kardon drive and play is the best alternative available.

It would perform the same way with a subscription; I tried. Glad to hear you got it all installed!
