That's what I thought...not sure what the OP's issue ended up being, but I'm just gonna split the factory sub wiring in two and feed both L and R speaker level inputs on the amp. Thanks again shovelhd you're always full of answers! Now to go browse your install thread on how to pass through the firewall...

Depending on the amp, you may not need to split it at all. Check the owner's manuals of the amps you have in mind.
