Anyone have sub box dimensions?

I'm going to build my own sub box for two 10" subs that require .75 cu/ft of space. I also want to make an amp "cubby" so that the amp is somewhat recessed. Basically, I want to save some money and build my own box in a style similar to one of the SubThump boxes. Does anyone have dimensions for a box they built that will allow fitment under the rear seats? I know I could just get a tape measure and figure it out, but if someone has already done the work (and is willing to share ), it would save me having to go through that first step. Thanks!

Re: Anyone have sub box dimensions?

honestly, for what parts would cost, time and the great fit, I would go with subthump, maybe even try and pick up a used one, have seen a couple of them lately. But they are a great deal and really hard to beat

Funny you say that...as I am looking at the somewhat complex shape I will need to fab up in MDF and thinking just the same! $175 plus shipping is looking like a much better deal!

Re: Anyone have sub box dimensions?

I agree, but since you asked, the outside dimensions of my box are 51"Wx12"Dx9"H.

Re: Anyone have sub box dimensions?

.75 is going to be stretch with an amp rack built in...just saying. I just built my new two 10" box, cost me under $80. I did not carpet it, I am using bed liner stuff. It needs one more coat though before I can take any pics...

Yep, the rack will cost me some volume and getting .75 will be the goal - but the .75 is the recommended volume and a wee bit smaller won't be a deal breaker. Be sure to post pics of your finished product!
