sounds like the problem i am having. they sent me a whole new unit, some problem. wondering if there is a sensitivity setting in the radio or grom that can be adjusted. or did we get what we paid for?

Re: MP3 Player Aux Jack

I bought the Grom. Installed it 3 times and used 2 different firmwares...it was HORRIBLE! Same volume issues you were having, PLUS my controls on the steering wheel were not working with it. Grom refused to do phone support. However, they were very good about the Return. I bought the USAspec and it is night and day difference. Worth every penny more that I spent. I was beginning to think that I had lost my mind, but in the end, it was Grom and not me!

Moral of the story...You get what you pay for!

I have an 07 RTL w/subwoofer.

Any thoughts?

thx
I am not sure about the USA Spec, but I have exactly the same problem with my GROM unit. I even contacted them and they sent me a new chip for it. Still same problem. I am returning it for refund ASAP; VERY disapointed!! I hope the USA spec unit does not have the same problem...
