Save the smartass comments for the professional smartass, please?

Well, one of the issues isn't with the key but the silly electronic "key" inside of the integrated fob. I HATE integrated fobs simply because they are bulky on the key ring when you have multiple vehicles. Same with a basic fob too. I kind miss the good 'ol days when all you needed was just the key and had to MANUALLY unlock the doors.

I like the idea, and may do it later, but I may just see about doing something different...

Re: 07 TL key fob conversion (Flip key)

Now, can someone guide me to a right direction? I've been calling all the Honda dealers in Orange County, Southern California and they charge anywhere from $60 to $150 just to cut the key and program it. Is there any Southern Californians that have already done this mod or know a good dealership? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you are not having luck, you may try your local locksmith. I've read in another forum that they got a locksmith to do the cutting and programming for around $20. It's not free but it's not $60. As for me, I've arranged my local Honda guy to do the work for free. I actually called the parts department to see how much they would charge and I got the "since you're a loyal customer" speech...wahla FREE!! Some of the reasons why I think he is willing to do it for free are: I bought the RL from that dealership and most of my OEM (large priced ones) accessories were purchased from them. It does pay to patronize your local dealer when things like this arise. From my experience they are more likely to work with you when you need a favor. Just my 2¢

Re: 07 TL key fob conversion (Flip key)

I put in the part number (35718-STK-A01) for the 2 button mod and it came back "can't find". What am I doing wrong? I really want to do this!!!!!
This does work for a 2006 RTS doesn't it?

Re: 07 TL key fob conversion (Flip key)

I hate Fedex ground it's slower than UPS. Anyway I ordered both for a little over $50. I wonder when they will run out and put this on backorder.
