Trust me, no one here is doing this mod for convenience. As for me, I got 2 keys and faceplates shipped for around $70. I will have the keys cut and programmed for free. I know the cutting and programming side is luck if you can get it completed for free. I would check around with your dealers to see if you can get a nice price on the cutting and programming before you buy the accessories. As a side note, the price for the key blank double since the beginning of October so the prices I quote may not be available at your dealer at this time.

Ive have notice some of you guys are worry about your regular and wonder if they will still work when doing this MOD. The answer to your problems is yes, but the tech needs to add the key to the car instead of deleting the whole program memory. On the Honda HDS computer, when programming keys to a unit its gives a tech the options of deleting all memory for new code or adding a new key to the same or old code. So you can take the flip key and get it added on to your car without all your keys, or you can get all 3 keys reprogram again. Hopes this helps out, sorry about the typing Im trying to do this before my 10am meetings. Let me guys know if you need anymore help

no problem it seem like alot of guys want to do this upgrade but there scared, or maybe my instructions are not detailed enough and I wanted to give it the Andy seal of approval.

This might sound silly, but can someone tell me the advantage of using this type of key? From what I can see the main advantage is that it folds. Are there other benefits to using this type of key?

its just a nice upgrade so that the key wont be sticking you in your leg or most of the time I see my cust come through here and the key is always broke off, this way nothing can get hurt. (Your leg and your key) plus this is alittle cool mod ( I think so)

fed-ex just dropped my new key off. Now I have to wait till the 27th to have it cut and programmed. I will let everyone know how it goes. Wish me luck .

BTW The dealer was blown away being able to do this. They were skeptical at first but got educated
